'Bicentennial Man'

I sat down to watch what was probably one of the best films I've seen for a long while. The film certainly goes into my top ten favourite films. It was called 'Bicentennial Man' and it starred Robin Williams. I loved the film. It's a shame the Robot (Robin Williams) decided to die in the end...I suppose there is no chance of them making a sequel to the film unless of course they can reprogramme him to come back to life again. :)

What's In A Name?!

Demi Moore is still named Demi Kutcher...so what? :)

Someone recently asked me if I was 'really' divorced because they wondered why I still used my married name. I smiled at them. I've been divorced for a number of years but I was in no hurry to change my name because there was never any intention of me ever remarrying. You see I love my children very much and it made sense that we all still used the same surname, particularly when we went on holiday together.... I've never really thought about changing my name. I consider my children as still being my immediate family and I'd be silly to want to change my name to a different name to them.

In time who knows. I may change my name one day but only if I ever met the right man. By then my children will be older and they'd perhaps be considering changing their own names. Who knows? :)

At the end of the day your name won't change who you are as a person. Your name will only help distinguish you from others, although it doesn't really help if other folk have exactly the same name as you. :)

LOL I swear blind my ex married me because I had exactly the same name as his Mother.:):)

I Came Very Close To Meeting.....

Actor Daniel Craig once....  LOL well I was sitting in the Crown Hotel, Stamford having a drink and I began talking to this guy who told me he was Daniel Craig's stuntman.  He was very interesting to talk to.  I can't remember his name but what a really pleasant afternoon that was. :)  It's amazing who you meet when you least expect to meet them. ;)

Call Me Old Fashioned Or Whatever!!!! :)

In all of my years I have never slept with anyone else whilst I have still been in a relationship with someone else. I am very fussy when it comes to relationships. I believe that mutual respect, trust and loyalty are primary for a solid relationship. If a guy doesn't like me because I refuse to sleep with him until I am ready....then that is his problem and he's probably someone not worth me knowing anyway. :)

I don't think it is as unusual for folk to be in their 30's before they sleep/have a sexual relationship with someone. There are an awful lot of men and woman out there who are scared of sexual promiscuity and catching a sexual disease. There are far more virgins out there than you probably thought. :)

It is indeed a very important lesson to learn that you don't get any extra points for sleeping around with as many folk as you can...quite the contrary really.....you're likely to get a very horrid sexual disease if you sleep around with others who have been sexually promiscuous.

Don't sleep with someone because you think you should and because all of your friends are sleeping with their boyfriends. They won't thank you or help you to look after a baby if you fall pregnant nor will they applaud you if you catch something urky. Sometimes the Guy is less willing to stand by you if you fall pregnant before he is ready to start a family. Accidents can occur I know...but try to remember there are precautions you can use. Bringing a baby into the world can be quite costly for the ordinary working couples. Babies can be quite demanding and tiring. I have been fortunate enough to bring up two children of my own....and I know exactly what it's like. I wouldn't change either of them for the world and I am so glad I had my then husband to help me bring up two adorable children however we didn't have children until we were both ready to have them...they were both planned.

My advice to you: Always Stop! Wait! Think about the type of relationship you are in before you take it another step further and you sleep with someone.... oh and try not to have children until you plan for them. :)

Bog off with all of your love songs smileyrose i don't want to hear romantic songs any more! My father left my mom when she was 53yrs old. He left her for younger woman. My mom had to struggle on her own to make ends meet. She'll never love again!

My short essay for today. ;)

If we all chose to dislike a love song/s just because we’ve had a bad relationship with someone then it would be a mighty sad world we all live in.

A simple love song can sometimes express the way you feel about someone. You can dedicate a song to someone because it’s a way of expressing your love for them. Some folk write their feelings of love in poem or a love letter in order to express their feelings for another and others say it through the lyrics of a song. Most of us all want to be loved and to experience the feeling of being in love.

The power of love can be scary for some because some of us have experienced perhaps a bad relationship in our past/a relationship we want to forget in order to move on with our lives. Nobody said falling in love was easy but when it hits you, then you know about it. 

When I was growing up I’d listen to some of my old 45’s and many of my singles were indeed love songs. I bought many of my 45’s without actually ever being in love, mainly because just listening to a love song sometimes made me think about the kind of man I would love to meet one day. The words of some of those love songs can express everything good about being in love and being in a relationship with one special person.

I’ve been in love and I’ve been out of love….but the feeling of being in love with one person is a feeling which can outweigh any of those feelings I’ve ever felt before.

Some relationships eventually leave their honeymoon period and it’s up to each couple to keep the flame burning so to speak. If you truly love someone then you couldn’t ever imagine living your life without them. Your heart would ache for them if you didn’t hear their voice or just have some form of contact with them in the day. The power of love is so great I don’t think anyone can truly explain the meaning of being totally in Love wirh someone because it affects us all in the many different ways.

To lose someone you love can often feel like a bereavement. I’ve been through both therefore I know what it’s like to lose someone you love deeply either through death or through a relationship breakup.

Some people can go through the extreme of actually hating another when their relationship has ended and they can feel like their whole world has fallen apart. Being angry and disliking love in general….or even disliking a love song/s because you’re feeling hurt and alone isn’t the answer. In fact listening to a love song can help mellow you and it can help you to feel good inside.

You should never think about never falling in love again just because you’re hurting. You should always think with a more positive attitude and think about perhaps one day falling in love again. If it doesn’t happen then at least you know that it was far, far better to have loved then to have never loved at all. :)

How do you get through Mondays?

Sadly with great difficulty...particularly if you've just had a good weekend. :)

'Dancing On Ice'

I'm really excited because the new series of 'Dancing On Ice' has started again. Phil Schofield is looking well and I simply love Torville and Dean.   I'm enjoying the programme so far.  All of the contestants were pretty good this evening, however Matthew and Nina were definitely my favourites. Rosemary Connolly did pretty well too. Not bad for a 65yr old. ;)  Oh and I loved Chico time. ;)

A Song For All Of You Lovers Out There :)

Imagine you're with a girl you really like. You're both sitting at a romantic venue. The lights are dimmed and you're feeling in a really romantic mood. You've just had dinner together and you're feeling very passionate. You're looking straight into her eyes. You're stroking her hair and your hand brushes against her cheek. You want to tell her just how you feel about her. You move her slowly towards the dance floor. :)  Mmmm can you feel the love?  ;)

What Your Ears Say About You :)

I came across this article recently. :)

Size and Physical Characteristics:

1) Big ears: It's a sign of vitality and independence. You are lively and energetic, but it often leads you to do whatever you want to. You take into consideration what other people have to say, but in the end, you will make your own choices.

2) Big earlobe: The Buddha had very big and long earlobes. So if you have big and long earlobes, it's extremely good luck. Everything comes very easily to you, and you know how to enjoy life. If you run into trouble, there's always a person there to lend you a helping hand.

3) Triangular earlobe: The earlobe is not fleshy and goes straight to the face. This is not a good sign. Your childhood was troubled and you're not that close to your parents, thus you were lacking a good environment your studies.

4) Vulcan ears: The top of the ears is pointed, though perhaps not to the Vulcan or elf-like extent. If this is you, then you are creative and independent, often to the point of rebellion. You are the anti-traditional, the alternative thinker.

5) Big and rounded ear tops: You are exceptionally smart, though not in the traditional, grade-point average way. Understanding things comes easily, but you don't apply your intellect to just everything. You will engage your smarts only in the things that interest you. Children with these ears should be encouraged to find their own niche, and they will excel at that.

6) Ears that stick out: You did not have the ideal childhood, or you are not that close to your parents. However, you're very energetic and physical, and suited for working outside, not confined to a desk.

7) Ears you can't see: If your ears stick to your head, you had a pretty good childhood, or were close to your parents. However, you should also take a look at the overall shape of your ear.
8) Overall shape: If the inner cartilage of your ear sticks out more than the shape of your ears, this means you had a rough time in your studies during your childhood and didn't have the best of luck before your fourteenth.

9) Color: If your ears are lighter in color than your face, you will have a famous reputation. You might not be the wealthiest person in the world, but you will be renowned. If you are in show business, you will be a huge breakout.

10) Mole: It means you are intelligent and take great care of your parents.

11) Ear hair: Anyone who has the chance to have ear hair will generally live a long and healthy life.

So now you know. ;)See more
