Let's Take A Moment This Easter Time.....

Many of us will be spending time with out loved ones/families/friends over the next few days, however I would just like to spare a thought this Easter for all of those folk who will be spending time apart from their loved ones/family members or friends...for whatever their reasons.  Easter time is a time to think about all of those folk, past and present who have come into our lives and who have left an imprint in hour hearts. God came into my life from a very young age.

My Easter Prayer:

Thank you Lord,
For rising from the tomb
To live in our hearts.
May the innocence of each child remind us of the joy of sharing
Your love,
May the caroling of each bird remind us to sing
Your praises
May the majesty of each sunrise remind us to shine in
Your light.
May the beauty of each flower remind us Jesus lives
and is Lord of Life.
And it's good.
Thank you, Holy Father, for Easter,
for Jesus
and for all
Your goodness
Stay with us this happy day
and always
In Jesus' name, we thank You!

Let's take a moment this Easter Time to think about what Easter is really all about. Easter is not just about Easter eggs and Easter bunnies.  Easter is a time to remember Jesus and how he died on the cross all of those years ago because he had a belief. He wanted to teach us. Jesus died for our sins, in accordance with the scriptures.... Christians meditate on Jesus' suffering and death on the cross, and the meaning of their faith.
Holy week - This is the week leading up to Easter.

Palm Sunday - This is the day Jesus arrived in Jerusalem.  The people of Jerusalem waved palm leaves during the arrival of Jesus.

Ash Wednesday - This is the day when the crosses displayed in homes as a mark of respect for the death of Jesus. The crosses are burned at the start of Lent the next year and it provides the ash for Ash Wednesday.

Maundy Thursday - This is the Thursday before Easter. It's the day of the Last Supper when Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, the ceremony known as the  Eucharist.

Today is Good Friday: It's the day when Christians mourn the death of Jesus, who they believed to be the Son of God.

Tomorrow will be Holy Saturday. The day Christians lay waiting and watching in the hope that Christ would return at midnight.

Easter Sunday -  This day commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christians celebrate this day with the greatest joy, hence the Easter Eggs and Easter Bunnies we have to celebrate Easter today.

Let's take a moment this Easter Time to remember why we celebrate this day. :)
