OCRF - White Shirt Day

This Saturday May 19th is OCRF - White Shirt Day in Australia.

The day is all about creating awareness of Ovarian cancer.

In Australia one woman dies every 10hrs from ovarian cancer. It is very hard to detect ovarian cancer and by the time it is detected it is often too late. Early detection is the answer.

Wearing a white shirt is a charity which raises money to create awareness and to help with early detection of ovarian cancer.

There is currently a campaign on Twitter to create awareness about ovarian cancer.

It is always good to support the various causes. There are so many folk who have suffered with the many different cancers, not only in Australia but also here in the fact right around the world.

If it helps with research then I am all for it therefore I am wearing my white shirt.

Ps I first saw this on Twitter. Dannii Minogue twitter post - creating awareness.

Hi Smiling Rose, thank you so much for supporting Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation in Australia. Truly Appreciated and here's to wearing a fabulous white shirt on Saturday to raise the spotlight on this insidious disease. Cheers, the OCRF Australia Team.

Thank you for your kind comment. Someone I knew had ovarian cancer therefore I thought it right to support this cause.
