About Me

My photo
My name is Frances Rose Agnes Napper aka SmileyRose. I am a friendly and fun loving individual. I like meeting new/old friends. Although I love being with friends, I also enjoy my own space from time to time. I have a number of hobbies. I enjoy taking photographs, going to the theatre, travel (visiting new and exciting places), reading, films and listening to music. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I particularly enjoy it when we all get together. I was a full-time mother for both of my daughters and I did not go back to work until they both reached primary school age. The UK has a lot to offer because there are so many picturesque places to visit. I particularly enjoy the British countryside. My home town was in Stamford, Lincolnshire although I am currently living in Peterborough. My Father was a serving member of the RAF. I'd consider myself well travelled from a very early age (6 months old). Divorced - for 10yrs. Currently single. I am interested in meeting nice folk only. :) Star sign - Leo the Lion. Birthday -July 29th. That's me in a nutshell. :)

Do I Know My Password?....Erm What Was It Again? ;o)

I was chatting to someone recently re passwords. Ewww If you are anything like me you will have a lot of passwords to remember.:(

Anyway, the person I was talking to mentioned that his company are provided with plastic fob keys. The keys are a good security measure as the passwords change and rotate regularly. You are assigned a pin number which you are encouraged to remember, however every time you log onto
a computer all you have to do is use the key to log onto any system using your unique pin number without you having to remember all of the different passwords. It sounds like a really great idea to me.:)

He then went on to tell me that it does save the company money in the long term as you are not telephoning the IT service team regularly in order to change your password after you forget it. :)

A system like this would free up the IT workers to sort out other matters concerning IT instead of answering numerous calls relating to folk who have forgotten their password.

What a good idea. I'm all for good initiative. ;)
