I have just had another good evening at the Showcase Cinema. I met up with a friend and we both went to watch a super little French film named "Untouchable." It is a very charming little film which was incredibly funny as well.
The film is a true life portrayal of an aristocrat named Philippe who becomes a quadriplegic after a bad accident. He employs a carer named Driss, and then fun begins. :o)
Driss tells it like it is and Philippe finds him quite charming. He makes Philippe feel valued and gives him a whole new lease in life. :)
Phillipe has a regular lady correspondent. He thinks the lady won’t be interested in him because of his disability so he panics after arranging to meet with her for the first time. Sadly the rendezvous does not take place.
Driss becomes a budding artist and he is more than happy because Philippe manages to sell a piece of art on his behalf for a good tidy sum of money. Driss has family issues and eventually feels the time is right for him to leave.
Philippe employs a new carer, however he is terribly unhappy and he misses Driss.
Driss learns that Philippe didn’t meet the lady of his dreams so he becomes cupid and he arranges for Philippe to eventually meet up with her, by planning a restaurant date.
They all live happily ever after. :)
The film was very touching, charming and it made me laugh out loud.
The film stars Francois Cluzet and Omar Sy. If you do not understand French then don’t worry as there are English subtitles. I am so glad I went to watch the film as I was pleasantly surprised. :)
The soundtrack is excellent! :)
After watching the film I popped over to Tesco for a little late night shopping. Ewww the time has gone by really quickly again today? :)
