My photo
My name is Frances Rose Agnes Napper aka SmileyRose. I am a friendly and fun loving individual. I like meeting new/old friends. Although I love being with friends, I also enjoy my own space from time to time. I have a number of hobbies. I enjoy taking photographs, going to the theatre, travel (visiting new and exciting places), reading, films and listening to music. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I particularly enjoy it when we all get together. I was a full-time mother for both of my daughters and I did not go back to work until they both reached primary school age. The UK has a lot to offer because there are so many picturesque places to visit. I particularly enjoy the British countryside. My home town was in Stamford, Lincolnshire although I am currently living in Peterborough. My Father was a serving member of the RAF. I'd consider myself well travelled from a very early age (6 months old). Divorced - for 10yrs. Currently single. I am interested in meeting nice folk only. :) Star sign - Leo the Lion. Birthday -July 29th. That's me in a nutshell. :)

Good Dancers!!!!

A number of years ago I was asked to go along to watch a group of guy dancers at The Cresset in Peterborough. I had never heard of the Chippendales back in those days...but I was pleasantly surprised! They were good dancers. )

Clasical Musician

Sometimes I enjoy listening to classical music. I find it rather relaxing. This musician is absolutely fabulous. I love his version of the Justin Timberlake song "Cry Me A River" :)

Sometimes I Like To Go Out Incognito :)

Me in my recent getup! Just recently I have been trying a few different looks. It's amazing how different you make yourself look with a wig.  I would have to admit that I prefer it when I'm a brunette though. ;o)

"The Great Gatsby"

I recently spent the afternoon with friends at their lovely home. It was a beautiful day. It was lovely to visit them both, particularly as I had not seen them in ages. I was so taken aback and amazed to see how this friend and his partner were both doing well. He has come a long way since a very nasty accident a few years ago. I am so pleased for him. :)

Later in the afternoon I went to the Showcase Cinema. I went to watch 'The Great Gatsby' in 3D. It was an absolutely brilliant film! I am hoping Leonardo Dicaprio wins an Oscar at least for his performance in the film....he was just superb.  I had not watched Leonardo Dicaprio since the 'Titanic' film...another film I enjoyed immensely. :)

'The Great Gatsby' is a really good film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel based in Long Island. It depicts the life of a millionaire named Jay Gatsby. He draws attention to himself by throwing extravagant parties at his home causing many to wonder where his wealth and fortune came from. It was thought that his wealth came from bootlegging alcohol.

I am not going to become a total spoiler here therefore I shall stop. You need to go and watch the film to really appreciate it.  :)

Ps  Did you notice how Mr Gatsby was blamed for something he did not do? Did you also notice that Mr Gatsby was not a violent man and he only lost his temper when he was provoked?

Meet My Little Oscar!

Aww meet my little Oscar. He's a cutie. When he's feeling in a playful mood I sometimes allow him to play with my 'Frances' mug. :o)

I have been to the Showcase Cinema to watch the Disney film 'Chimpanzee' this evening. Aww it was all about a little chimp named Oscar. He was absolutely adorable. I had to use a hanky to control some of my emotions during the film. It was such an endearing little film which told the story of the little chimp in a documentary style. The narrator was excellent and the actual filming was just brilliant.

I loved this film. :)

My favourite part was 'Cracking the nuts' lol it reminded me of us and how we used to crack nuts every Christmas and we fed our little chimps (the children) with them. They loved nuts. :)

It's a beautiful song....a song that gives someone the inspiration to carry on when they feel like there's no hope and they feel like giving up, but then someone comes along and helps them to rise again by giving them the strength to carry on.

A Lovely Weekend :)

We had a very lovely afternoon dining out at the Fox and Hounds Inn, Exton, Rutland yesterday. It was my Father's birthday.  Hehe he's 21 again. ;)

It was rather funny as my niece wanted to buy grandad a balloon for his birthday only she couldn't find one which said '81' on she came up with a great solution! Much to his delight she bought him a balloon with '18' on it instead... because if you turn it upside down, it says 81! She's a bright child. It seems to run in the family. :o)

It was great to catch up with family members. Hehe my sister even managed to find some birthday candles that kept on relighting every time the candles were blown Father thought he was loosing his puff! A fun day was had by all and I enjoyed the food immensely. ;)

I have spent a lovely few days with Lauren but unfortunately she had to leave me to go and see the brilliant Beyonce live at the o2 this afternoon. Both she and her friend were picked up in a limousine, which took them to the concert. She was so excited when she left here earlier this afternoon. Lucky devil. I know she enjoyed herself as I have just received a text to say that Beyonce was amazing! :)

Earlier this afternoon it was lovely to chat with my other daughter Catherine too.  Missing her. :)

I later popped to my Mums place. My sister was visiting with the little monkey's (my two nieces). I spent the entire afternoon tickling feet, having my feet tickled and hiding my eyes from their bellies! LOL no, not my Mum's or my sister's bellies....both of my nieces bellies. They love being tickled! Then I watched them do their 'Gangnam Style' dance. Yes a very energetic dance by a 6yr old and 3yr old....I'm so glad they didn't insist upon me joining in. It was all good fun.....and now I've come home for a rest. :)

Apart from my Father being the only guy around this weekend (poor dad) was actually a fun 'girly' weekend. ;)
