My name is Frances Rose Agnes Napper aka SmileyRose. I am a friendly and fun loving individual. I like meeting new/old friends. Although I love being with friends, I also enjoy my own space from time to time. I have a number of hobbies. I enjoy taking photographs, going to the theatre, travel (visiting new and exciting places), reading, films and listening to music. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I particularly enjoy it when we all get together. I was a full-time mother for both of my daughters and I did not go back to work until they both reached primary school age. The UK has a lot to offer because there are so many picturesque places to visit. I particularly enjoy the British countryside. My home town was in Stamford, Lincolnshire although I am currently living in Peterborough. My Father was a serving member of the RAF. I'd consider myself well travelled from a very early age (6 months old). Divorced - for 10yrs. Currently single. I am interested in meeting nice folk only. :) Star sign - Leo the Lion. Birthday -July 29th. That's me in a nutshell. :)

'Sunshine On Leith' :)

I recently went to watch the film 'Sunshine On Leith' at the Showcase Cinema.  The film was absolutely brilliant and I loved every minute of watching it.  I am a huge fan of musical films and over the years I have watched a number of old and new musicals. :)

As a young girl I was very fond of watching the old 'repeated' musical films on the TV.  Old  favourites were: The Wizard Of Oz, Oklahoma, Grease, Top Hat, Calamity Jane, Mama Mia and Chicago.

The last musical film I went to watch before Sunshine On Leith, was Les Miserables.  I simply love musicals.

I am also very fond of going to the Theatre in the West End, London. My favourite shows are the Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals. :)

This is not a spoiler! :)

The film is an adaption of a play with the same title. It told the story of two young army guys who return to Edinburgh after spending time away at war. They return home to find life isn't quite so easy outside army life. They encounter family and relationship problems, but they still manage to sing all about it. ;)

Of course I simply love the song 'I Will Walk 500 Miles' by the Proclaimers...much to my delight, the song features in the film. I loved this part of the film the best, I was even tapping my feet in time to the tune. ;)  OK no more....but the film is really good, so go and watch it. :)

I was rather glad to see the finishing touches at the Showcase Cinema, they've recently been refurbishing the place. There is now a really nice Costa cafe within the Cinema complex.  It looked very nice indeed. I'm looking forward to having my first Cappuccino here. ;)  Oo I loved the smell of the fresh paint. ;)
