About Me

My photo
My name is Frances Rose Agnes Napper aka SmileyRose. I am a friendly and fun loving individual. I like meeting new/old friends. Although I love being with friends, I also enjoy my own space from time to time. I have a number of hobbies. I enjoy taking photographs, going to the theatre, travel (visiting new and exciting places), reading, films and listening to music. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I particularly enjoy it when we all get together. I was a full-time mother for both of my daughters and I did not go back to work until they both reached primary school age. The UK has a lot to offer because there are so many picturesque places to visit. I particularly enjoy the British countryside. My home town was in Stamford, Lincolnshire although I am currently living in Peterborough. My Father was a serving member of the RAF. I'd consider myself well travelled from a very early age (6 months old). Divorced - for 10yrs. Currently single. I am interested in meeting nice folk only. :) Star sign - Leo the Lion. Birthday -July 29th. That's me in a nutshell. :)

"Planet Of The Apes"

This evening I went to see the brilliant film "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes".  I thoroughly enjoyed watching the film. The film starred Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman and Andy Serkis :)

I almost did not go to watch the film this evening. It was a spur of the moment decision. I had originally thought about going to Tolethorpe to watch a Shakespeare play with a friend, however things don't always go according to the way they are planned sometimes. To weather wasn't good at all for going to an open air theatre. ;o)

I used to be a huge fan of the TV series named "Planet of the Apes" when I was a child. The actor Roddy McDowell used to play the part of Galen, who was the main character in the programme. The computer generated characters in the film were just brilliant!  The apes looked so life like. Amazing!

The war between man and ape was not a war between good and evil, it was war of fear, revenge and misunderstandings which left us all in a dilemma of not really knowing whose side you wanted to be on. You could understand both sides of their story and why it was necessary for them to stand up for what they believe in.

Haha there was a laugh out loud moment from me! The part when one of the apes discovers the human hideout and their many weapons.  The ape was filled with anger but it was so funny when he tries to save himself  and his 'angry look' changed very quickly from complete anger to totally dopey!  He blows a raspberry!! So funny. ;)

A super film, well worth a watch. :)
