Armistice Day

Today is Armistice Day. I really appreciate the fact that some of the ladies who I work with, took the time to stop what they were doing and a two minute silence was observed. There was complete silence in the crowded room, you could almost hear a pin drop. Today we honoured all of those fallen in conflict. In the first minute we showed our sign of respect for all 20 million people (or thereabouts), who died in the war. The second minute was dedicated to those left behind ie wives, children and families of those who lost their lives. A very poignant moment. Lest we forget!
